Isobel Anderson is a sound artist, composer and experimental performer whose work explores voice, listening and the poetics of sound. With over twenty years of music-making, performing and producing experience, and a PhD in Sonic Arts, her practice embraces curiosity, independence and experimentation.

Her four solo albums have amassed nearly 30 million Spotify streams, and her sound works have been performed and exhibited internationally, including at V&A East Storehouse, CMMR 2025 and County Hall Pottery. Her writing has appeared in Organised Sound and The Journal of Sonic Studies, and her recent projects — END TIMES (2026) and Hyperterrestrial — continue her interest in how sound can make sense of personal and collective experience.

Isobel also facilitates the Sound Studies Book Club, a listening-centred discussion group exploring sound theory through dialogue and care, and she produces and hosts the critically acclaimed podcast Girls Twiddling Knobs, which recently celebrated five years of amplifying underrepresented voices in music technology.
