Isobel Anderson is a sound artist, composer and experimental performer working across voice, listening and the poetics of place. Holding a PhD in Sonic Arts, her practice spans music, sound installation, performance and research, often blurring the boundaries between documentary, composition and sonic ritual.

Her music has amassed nearly 30 million Spotify streams and been broadcast across BBC Radio 2, 3, 4 and 6 Music. Her sound works have been performed and exhibited internationally, including at V&A East Storehouse and Fotografia Europea, while her writing has appeared in publications including Organised Sound and The Journal of Sonic Studies.

For five years, Isobel was the Founder and Director of Girls Twiddling Knobs, a global music technology education platform supporting more than 30,000 women and gender-diverse people through inclusive training, mentorship and creative community.

In 2026, Anderson returns with her first album in nine years, END TIMES: a visceral and emotionally charged work exploring grief, burnout and dissociation in an age of ecological, political and existential collapse. The first single, Fray, is released on May 26.
