Towner Make Space

SOUNDSCAPE COMPOSITION FOR GALLERY LEARNING SPACE

Towner commissioned Isobel to produce a soundscape for their Summer Make Space, a free drop-in for creative activities running throughout the summer holidays.

Responding to her own experience of East Sussex landscapes and to works in Towner’s collection which come from, or evoke a relationship with the natural environment, Isobel took field recordings at locations in East Sussex including Beachy Head, Rock-a-Nore and Pevensey Levels.

Audio gathered at these locations was woven together with atmospheric effects, encouraging listeners to re-imagine these well-known landscapes.
