In 2013, Isobel recorded In My Garden at Chalk Road Recording Studios in Hove, East Sussex. Weaving field recordings, guitar, hammond organ and violinist Ruby Colley's sumptuous melodies, the album is full of subtle but mesmerising textures.
The album garnered high critical acclaim with repeated plays on Lauren Lavern's BBC 6 Music show, alongside glowing critical acclaim. It appears listeners would agree as, to date, the album's third track alone, Waiting for You, has had over 20 million Spotify plays.
Throughout In My Garden, Isobel's knack for delicate and intentional production catches the heart and soul of the listener as much as her songwriting and vocal delivery. A raw, intimate expansive work that leaves its mark.
