SOUNDWALK

Last Night's Party (2011) is a soundwalk based on folktales of fairy abductions set within Belvoir Park Forest in Northern Ireland. The walk takes the listener through one of Ireland's most historic woodlands, enveloping them in the sounds, poetry and myths from the area.
The walk follows what appears to be a dream, recounted by a voice in the listener's headphones. This voice describes the very path the listener is treading and, gradually, the fantastical experiences it describes begin to become reality as images and sounds recounted in the dream unravel in tandem. Eventually the listener becomes a performer too as the story more deeply cascades between reality and fiction.
