AUDIO/VISUAL WORK
SALLY is a guide for finding and loosing your voice; of learning how to appear and disappear; of remembering and forgetting.
Have you ever felt frustrated at not being able to express yourself with your voice? Do you long for the breath flowing out of your throat to make tonal sounds with comfort and ease? Then SALLY will take you through this and more in PART ONE.
Or perhaps you’re bored of hearing the sound of your own voice? Or friend’s and family are growing tired of you communicating solely by singing? Well SALLY’s PART TWO provides just the remedy. It really couldn’t be easier to learn and unlearn how to make sounds with your face.
SALLY was exhibited at Belfast's PS2 Gallery in 2018 and is the beginnings of a larger project that will examine disability, illness, voice and belonging.
